Sattur
 
Sattur is present in Virudhunagar District. It is an industrialized town, which includes 8 taluks. Sattur is located in the banks of the river Vaippar River. This is the only town which is manufacturing fountain pen nibs for the long time. There are also many cottage industries in Sattur like fire works, match industry and printing press. Sattur is also known for some edible items like Karasevu, Cucumber and many traditional sweets.

    Sankarankoil is a city located near Tirunelveli. Sankarankoil is famous for temples. The deity here is Sankara Narayanan, half Lord Shiva and the other half Lord Vishnu. There is another temple called Gomathi Ambal temple, there is one sacred thing about this temple, in which people believe that the sand in the temple has some powers which cures the diseases of the people. During the month of June in the temple they celebrate one festival called Adi Thabasu. There is large number of corraline, crystalline and sedimentary industries in Sankarankoil. There is one famous temple in Sankarankoil temple named as Arulmigu Sankaranarayanaswamy temple, which is located in Tirunelveli district. Courtallam is located near to this district. There is another sacred tank in Sankarankoil named Nagasunai, people believed that it was dug by Kings of Serpent world called Sangam and Paduman. This water has some power which heals the ant-hill earth in bodies. The biggest two temples in this state called Gandhimathi temple and Sri Nellayappar located in Tirunelveli is at a short distance from Sankarankoil.
